Quality and Standard of Selenium-enriched Tea

In this article,we introduced the importance of selenium to human health,the safe range of adult acceptable daily intake and the producing summary of selenium-enriched tea in China.The current quality situation and major problems involved in the selenium-enriched tea products are also discussed.Meanwhile,the quality standard of the Ministry of agriculture as well as the content and quality index of local standard of selenium-enriched producing place such as Shanxi,Anhui,and Guizhou provinces etc are investigated and summarized.Finally,we put forward to unify and standardize the producing and production quality of selenium-enriched tea by establishing the scientific and reasonable national and trade standards as soon as possible.The strengthening quality supervision is also presented to promote the sustainable development of selenium-enriched tea industry in China.
