Study of interference nulling using horizontal dipole antennas

It is the main problem of HF Surface Wave Radar that sky-wave disturbances minish detection-distances. Although using horizontal dipoles can suppress sky-wave distances,it is almost impossible in real situation that a large area is needed when multi-dipoles are used. Based on the analysis of sky-wave distances,a new algorithm is presented that disturbances are cancelled in subsection with signals from horizontal dipoles mixed twice with I,Q baseband signals,which can cancel multi-disturbances without more horizontal dipoles. Effectiveness of the algorithm has been proved by theory and simulation experiment, so the algorithm provides the realization method in real situation.
