Effect of Microstructure on Contact Fatigue Property of Steel 70Cr3Mo

Hu Yi,Xiao Furen,Qiao Guiying,Zhang Lexin (The College of Mechanical Engineering, Yanshan University, Qinhuangdao 066004). (The College of Materials Science and Chemical Engineering, Yanshan University, Qinhuangdao 066004).  
The effect of microstructure on contact fatigue property of steel 70Cr3Mo with two kinds of heat treatment has been stu- died by means of optical metallography, SEM, TEM and XRD. The results show that the contact fatigue property of plate marten- site after quenching and tampering is higher than that of the bainite after austempering and tempering.
