Calculating Example of Cantilever Beam Applied Uniform Load Verified Springback Principle of Minimum Potential Energy for Bending Straight Beam

Springback principle of minimum potential energy for straight beam formed by bending was applied to calculate the springback of straight beam bending. Solving formulae of the finite element method for calculating springback of straight beam bending were established, the finite element program was compiled for calculating springback of formed cantilever beam, the beam was applied uniform load. The calculated results of the program were contrasted with the results from those that formula calculated and ANSYS software calculated. From the comparison of the results, it is concluded that spring-back principle of minimum potential energy for straight beam formed by bending and its finite element methods are right.
