SEQUENCE STRATIGRAPHY OF LATE PALAEOZOIC DEPOSITS IN SULIGEMIAO AREA, INNER MONGOLIA

Based on analyzing of outcrops, well-logging and cores data, the framework of Permian-Carboniferous sequence stratigraphy is built in Suligemiao area. 3 supersequences and 15 sequences in Upper Paleozoic have been identified. The formation in Carboniferous consist of 2 sequences and in Permian consist of 13 sequences. The sequence in Benxi Formation and Taiyuan Formation have the tharacteristic of 2 traces which include transgressive system tract and highstand system tract. The sequence in Shanxi ation, Shihezi and Shiqianfeng Formations consist of 3 tracts which include lowstand system tract, transgressive system tract and highstand system tract. The evolutionary of sequences reflect the process from epicontinental deposition to river-delta-lacustrine deposition in Permian-Carboniferous.
