The characteristic of traumas by traffic accidents and its emergency

Objective:To investigate the features and the treatments of trauma caused by traffic accidents in order to improve the level of emergency rescue.Methods:A self-designed questionnaire was adopted to survey 356 patients that suffered from traffic accidents.We analyzed the features of trauma and took appropriate measures to rescue.Results:Among the 356 cases,the number of men was more than women,meanwhile,the majority were young adults,more accidents happened at weakend,and more at night than at daytime.The multiple traumas were seen more frequently.333 cases were rescued successfullly,taking up 93.4%;and 23 died,taking up 6.6%.Conclusion:Most of the trauma were in multiple form,the features were of complication and severity.It is essential to analyze comprehensively,observe carefully,rescue skillfully,and response quickly.Keeping respiratory tract unobstructed and performing anti-shock actively are the most foundmental and significant measures.Stop hemorrhage is the key measure to lower mortality to the patients that with brain stem injury,hemothoraxemia,liver and spleen rupture.
