Applications and care of high negative pressure drainage in the modified radical mastectomy

Objective To investigate wound drainage effect and clinical care of the one-time closing high negative pressure drainage system in the modified radical mastectomy.Methods There were 40 patients of breast cancer with a one-time closing high negative pressure drainage device(pfm Medical,Germany)(experimental group),and 40 ones with the traditional ball drainage suction drainage(control group).Two groups were compared with subcutaneous effusion and the incidence of flap necrosis.Results There were 14 cases of subcutaneous effusion and 6 of flap necrosis in the control group,while 3 cases of subcutaneous effusion and 1 of skin flap necrosis in the experimental group.And there were statistical differences between two groups in subcutaneous effusion and skin flap necrosis(P0.05) Conclusion One-time closing high negative pressure drainage in the wound drainage after breast cancer can reduce the subcutaneous effusion and flap necrosis,improve patients' comfort and shorten the hospital stay.
