Recent Status on the Clinical Application of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Techniques in Isehemic Heart Disease and Their Prospect

With the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technigue is rapidly developing in recent decade,MRI has the potential to be a comprehen- sive noninvasive imaging modality in ischemic heart disease(IHD).It is able to define the site and the extent of prior myocardial infarction and can be used to identify complications of myocardial infarctions such as left ventricular aneurysm or ventricular thrombus,to provides a three- dimensional mea- surements data set from which highly of right and left ventricular volumes, ejection fraction, and ven- tricular mass index;to monitor function and remod- eling of the left ventricle after infarction and distin- guishing between different type of ischemic myocar- dial injury and defining areas of hypoperfusion in I- HD.It is also possible that recent progress in coro- nary resonance imaging angiography(MRA) may use to evalution of flow in some patient with sus- pected coronary artery narrow and coronary artery bypass conduits. This article will briefly review the recent status of clinical application and future direc- tions for MRI techniques in IHD.
