Analysis of efficacy and safety of modified Morita therapy combined with drug in treatment of depression

Objective To explore the clinical effect and safety of modified Morita therapy combined with drug therapy in depression. Methods Sixty-six patients with depressive disorder were selected and divided into observation group and control group according to the even and odd numbers of admission. The control group was given conventional drug therapy, while the observation group was improved using Morita therapy and drug combination therapy, the two groups of the treatment effect and incidence of adverse reactions were analyzed. Results After treatment, there was no significant difference in Hamilton Rating Scale(HAMD) scores between the two groups. After treatment, the HAMD scores of the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group(P 0.05) There was significant difference between the two groups in the total effective rate and adverse reaction rate(P 0.05). Conclusion The combination of modified Morita therapy and drugs in the treatment of depression has many merits, such as small adverse reaction, definite effect and high safety. It is a method worthy of popularization and application.
