The significance of the application of parathyroid in situ protection in total thyroidectomy

Objective To study the clinical effect of the application of parathyroid in situ protection in total thyroidectomy. Methods 60 cases of total thyroidectomy were randomly divided into two groups, each of 30 cases. The control group was given the traditional operation, the observation group was given the parathyroid in situ protection technology. Comparing the two groups before and after surgery, PTH, serum calcium levels and complications. Results In the control group, the observation group after PTH and calcium water is lower than the average preoperative, the difference was statistically significant(P 0.05); PTH, the blood calcium level of the patients in the observation group decreased than the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P 0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P 0.05). Conclusion Parathyroid in situ protection applied to the total thyroidectomy, can effectively reduce the damage of parathyroid function, enhancement of parathyroid cognition, protect arteriovenous blood supply, reduce complications, and is worthy of promotion.
