Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy and safety of leflunomide and methotrexate combined treatment with polymyositis. Methods To select 55 cases of patients with polymyositis, all patients were diagnosed by clinical examination, polymyositis, informed consent. 50 patients were divided into two groups according to the random number table method: the experimental group(to the fluorine group and the methotrexate) and the control group(methotrexate). To compare the therapeutic effect of the two groups, the improvement of muscle strength grade and the occurrence of adverse reactions. Results The experimental group and the control group the total effective rate were 96.4% and 74.1%. Results there was significant difference(P0.05); before treatment, two groups of muscle strength were compared. Results there was no significant difference; after treatment, the experimental group muscle strength were significantly better than the control group, there was significant difference between the results(P0.05); experimental group and control the occurrence of adverse reactions of patients were 7.1% and 29.6%. Results there was significant difference(P0.05). Conclusion In the clinical treatment of patients with polymyositis, with leflunomide and methotrexate combined treatment can achieve good clinical effect, can improve the muscle strength grade, and can reduce the incidence of adverse reactions, worthy of further research and promotion.
