Analysis of microvascular decompression for hemifacial spasm

Objective To analyze the clinical efficacy of microvascular decompression for hemifacial spasm. Methods The hospital department of neurosurgery from January 2012 to March 2017 were treated with 112 patients with hemifacial spasm microvascular decompression in the treatment of patients, patients with hemifacial spasm degree score before surgery, after surgery and postoperative follow-up assessment, statistical analysis of clinical efficacy and prognosis of surgical patients. Results The source of responsibility in blood vessels of anterior inferior cerebellar artery and 85 cases, accounting for 75.89%, the responsibility of vessels originating from the vertebral artery in 14 cases, accounting for 12.50%, responsible vessels from other vessels in 13 cases, accounting for 11.61%, the number of patients in the number of patients with the source of responsible vessels of anterior inferior cerebellar artery and posterior inferior from the vertebral artery, was significantly higher than that of other vessels, the difference was statistically significant(P0.05). Hemifacial spasm patients within 1 weeks after the operation completely disappeared in 81 cases, accounting for 72.32%, improved in 12 cases, accounting for 10.71%, invalid in 19 cases, accounting for 16.97%, 0 cases of recurrence; postoperative 6 months disappeared completely in 92 cases, accounting for 82.14%, improved in 10 cases, accounting for 8.93%, invalid in 10 cases, accounting for8.93%, 0 recurrence cases; within 12 months after the operation completely disappeared in 103 cases, accounting for 91.96%, improved in 4 cases, accounting for 3.57%, invalid in 2 cases, accounting for 1.79%, 3 cases of recurrence, accounting for 2.68%. Hemifacial spasm patients after 1 weeks of tinnitus in 8 cases, accounting for 7.14%, accounting for 6.25%, 7 cases of facial paralysis, hearing loss in 14 cases, accounting for 12.50%, 29 cases, the total complication rate was 25.89%; tinnitus within 12 months after the surgery in 5 cases, accounting for 4.46%, 1 cases of facial paralysis, accounted for 0.89%, 9 cases of hearing loss. Accounted for 8.04%, 15 cases, total complications accounted for 13.39% of total complications occurred;hemifacial spasm patients within 12 months after 1 weeks was significantly lower than that after the surgery, the difference was statistically significant(P0.05). Conclusion Microvascular decompression treatment of hemifacial spasm patients with better clinical efficacy, mature surgical techniques, surgical site is clear, postoperative complications occur less, it is worth clinical reference, promotion and use.
