Objective To observe the clinical effect of laparoscopy and open radical gastrectomy for early gastric cancer. Methods Sixty-eight patients with early gastric cancer were randomly divided into control group and observation group. The control group was treated by open radical resection of gastric cancer. The observation group was treated by laparoscopic radical gastrectomy. The operation conditions, postoperative complications and recurrence were compared between the two groups. Results The intraoperative blood loss, the frequency of analgesic use and hospital stay of observation group were significantly less than the control group(P0.05).The anal exhaust time, ambulation time and eating time of the observation group were significantly earlier than the control group(P0.05).The incidence of postoperative complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(8.82% VS 32.35%).The recurrence rate of observation group during follow-up was lower than that of control group(2.94% VS 23.53%).Conclusion The operation of laparoscopic radical gastrectomy is better than radical gastrectomy for gastric cancer. The incidence of postoperative complications is low and the recurrence rate is low, which is worthy of clinical application.
