Evaluation to Radiological Environmental Consequences of Accidental Release of UF 6
Liu Hui (China Institute for Radiation Protection, Taiyuan, 030006)
UF 6, as a interim product of nuclear fuel manufacture, arises from uranium isotope isolation process. A substantial amount of UF 6 releasing to the environment would lead to potential accidents during operation of nuclear fuel plant. To evaluate accidental consequences of UF 6 releases and with view of explaining estimation procedures and resolving some problems, discussions are made on the characteristics of the releases and estimates carried out for environmental impact of accidental releases on the basis of the environmental and meteorological conditions on a plant site.
