Shen Wei;
By passing both the national law and local regulations to promote entrepreneurship,both the central government and various local governments in China have been trying to promote the development of medium and small-sized enterprises which indeed are driving forces of economic growth nation-wide.However,it has not been investigated whether these laws and local regulations are effective in terms of their legislative purposes.This article tries to look into the legislative effects of these national law and local regulations to promote entrepreneurship and growth of medium and smallsized enterprises through market surveys.The article concludes that better investor protection and equal treatment are more important than law in terms of what medium and small-sized enterprises need to have in a market-orientated environment.
