Dependence and durability properties of Chinese lead plug rubber bearings

The dependence and durability properties of Chinese lead plug rubber bearings are provided in the paper. For the response analysis, the dependence characteristics such as vertical load dependence, shear strain dependence, frequency dependence and temperature dependence are analyzed. Durability of aging and creeping tests are performed too in order to understand the characteristics of stiffness, damping and extreme shear strain after 60 years service. Fatigue tests with 200 horizontal cycles and 100,000 vertical cycles are performed for the lead plug rubber bearings for grasping the vertical stiffness and horizontal stiffness properties.
