State-of-the-art of study on seismic responses of buried pipeline crossing fault

Hu Mingyi, Lin Junqi, Li Zuohua, Shen Xuanzhao (Institute of Engineering Mechanics,China Earthquake Administration, Harbin 150080, China)  
The state-of-the-art of study on the earthquake response of buried pipeline crossing fault is reviewed, including development of theoretical analysis, and experimental study. Besides, the analysis methods and models (adopted) to solve different problems are demonstrated.Then the laws of buried pipeline are given by data processing. Also, the influence of some important parameters on the response of buried pipeline is expatiated.The existing problems need to be studied are discussed briefly and the possible future research work on the subject is suggested.
