Seismic resistant design method of reinforced concrete flat beam-column connections

In order to consider the mutual effect of the interior and exterior core of flat beam-column joints,the author deems that there is an overlapped region between interior core and exterior core.Seismic actions transmitted to the interior and exterior cores are determined according to the principle proposed by the author.Using a compression strut model and a softened truss model,this paper provides a design method of reinforced concrete flat beam-column connections.The effects of steel fibers mixed in joint cores and unbonded prestessed tendons in flat beams on the ultimate shear resistant capacity of reinforced concrete flat beam-column connections are included in the proposed method.The reliability of the proposed design method is verified by the test data of four reinforced concrete flat beam-column connections.
