Experimental investigation and simulation analysis of new steel plate shear walls with slits

Horizontal low cyclic loading tests for four full-scale specimens of steel plate shear wall with slits are presented.The experimental data show that the main factors that influence the load-bearing capacity of the steel plate shear wall without the construction measure are stable.The computational results of the simulated test show that the improved steel plate shear wall with slits can produce plastic deformation and consume a great quantity of earthquake energy.
