Experimental investigaton on energy dissipation capability of slit hollow heat retaining RC shear walls

In order to investigate the energy dissipation capability of slit hollow heat retaining shear wall,three specimens were designed and fabricated.By cyclic lateral loading tests,failure mechanism,hysteretic characteristic,ductility and energy dissipation capacity were researched.The effect of slit style and connectors on the energy dissipation capacity was analysed.Results show:settting slits and connectors changes the mechanic mode of the shear wall.Ductility and seismic behavior was improved greatly,with slight decline of stiffness and bearing capacity.With the transformation of energy dissipation mechanism and the participation of connectors,reinforcing bars and rubber,the energy dissipation capacity of slit hollow heat retaining shear walls was increased greatly.
