Dynamic response properties and maximum anti-seismic capability of CFRD under special terrain condition

Limited by the topography and geological condition,the main dam of pumped-storage power station always has to be built under some special terrain conditions and it's dynamic safety was still concerned. The dynamic response properties under this kind of topography condition were to be analyzed by using the equivalent viscoelastic model based on the UMAT subroutine of ABAQUS. The maximum anti-seismic capability of CFRD should be considered by the safety of anti-seepage system,the downstream dam slope instability and the value of permanent deformation three parts. The results of this study show that the dynamic acceleration,the dynamic displacement and the dynamic stress of the dam were not strong. The dam with a nice aseismic behavior for the biggest permanent deformation was smaller than the 1% of the dam height. The inclined dam foundation can influence with the dynamic response properties of CFRD,and the maximum dynamic displacement towards the river direction locations on downstream slope near 3 /4 of the dam height. The failure forms of high CFRD under the inclined dam foundation mainly include the broken of anti-seepage system and the downstream dam slope instability. The maximum anti-seismic capability of the dam is 0. 5 g ~ 0. 58 g.
