Life cycle cost assessment for buckling-restrained braced in super tall buildings

Life cycle cost is able to evaluate the structural performance and economical level,which includes initial construction,maintenance,remove and damage cost. The design for the high-rise buildings should be evaluated and optimized according to the life cycle assessment. New assessment and calculation method of the structural life cycle cost will be introduced in this paper. Combined with this assessment system and structural seismic performance objective,the damage cost under the seismic load for different plans will be evaluated. The method facilitates the evaluation and design for the structures. Buckling-restrained braces can reduce seismic response for structure and enhance the seismic performance capacity. Meanwhile life cycle cost will also be saved. A super tall building with belt truss frame core-wall structural system is exemplified to evaluate damage cost for different plans. Thus the optimal plan will be selected with the assessment system. The application of assessment is a beneficial reference for the design of high-rise buildings.
