Experimental research of shear behavior of frame joints by fiber reinforced concrete under reversed cyclic loading

Based on the reversed cyclic loading tests on four frame joints of high tough fiber reinforced concrete,the failure modes of the joints,the hysteretic curves and skeleton curves of load displacement were carried out.Meanwhile,the shear bearing capacity of core areas of frame joints of high tough fiber reinforced concrete was measured,and the experiment values are compared with the calculated values by the formulas in current specification. The results showed that the use of high tough fiber reinforced concrete to core areas of frame joints can effectively control the number and width of cracks. Shear capacity and energy dissipation capacity of joints were improved significantly and the seismic performance of framework is enhanced. The test values of shear capacity had good consistency with the calculated values. Thus the research results can provide a theoretical reference for the practical engineering design of fiber reinforced concrete frame joints.
