Test and analysis of influence factors on hysteretic performance of recycled aggregate concrete filled square steel tube columns

To study hysteretic performance of recycled aggregate concrete filled square steel tube columns,6 specimens with different replacement rates of recycled coarse aggregate and axial compression rates were tested under low cycle reversed loading. The failure mode were observed,the hysteretic curves were measured,the influence of design parameters on the hysteretic performance indexes including displacement ductility factor,strength,stiffness and energy dissipation coefficient was discussed. It is shown that the failure modes of specimens are similar to ones of concrete filled square steel tube columns,in which the square steel tube at the bottom buckled and the Recycled Aggregate Concrete( RAC) at the bottom is crushed. All the hysteretic curves change from fusiformis to arch are plump. Based on the hysteretic performance,recycled aggregate concrete filled square steel tube component can be used for engineering capacity-bearing structures. The stiffness decreases as axial compression rate decreases. However,other hysteretic performance indexes are not sensitive to the present change range of axial compression rate.
