The preliminary study on rapid assessment method of seismic landslide hazard based on GIS platform

Seismic landslide is one of the most common type of secondary disasters resulted by earthquake in mountainous area.In this paper,a rapid assessment of seismic landslide hazard developed on Arc GIS platform can obtain the distribution of seismic landslide hazard within 1 hour after the earthquake.It can offer some decision basis for the earthquake emergency assistance.Six parameters including seismic intensity,slope,aspect,elevation,the distance to water system and the distance to ruptured fault were chosen as the impact factors of seismic landslide.According to the distribution of historical seismic landslide,the hierarchical quantization standard form of the impact factors was conformed.To quantify the impact factors,a series of data processing and spatial analysis were conducted on Arc GIS platform.The Analytic Hierarchy Process was applied to compute the weights of each factors and build the mathematical assessment model of seismic landslide hazard.On this basis,the rapid assessment of seismiclandslide hazard was developed on Arc GIS platform,which can obtain the distribution of the seismic landslide in the evaluation area within 1 hours after the earthquake.Finally,the seismic landslide data of Lushan earthquake of magnitude7.0 was used to test the assessment results of the model.The results show that the assessment results basically corresponds the actual landslide points.The rapid assessment method of seismic landslide hazard based on GIS is reliable.
