Lateral force resistant capacity of precast concrete shear wall with horizontal seam

Horizontal seam is the weak position of precast shear wall structure under seismic load.On the basis of existing tests,the finite element models for cast-in-place concrete shear wall and precast shear wall with horizontal seam were developed to study the lateral force resistant capacity of precast reinforced concrete shear wall with reinforcement grouting connections and to compare it with that of cast-in-place concrete shear wall.We defined the reduction factor of lateral force resistant capacity of precast reinforced concrete shear walls and analyzed the key parameters that influencing the reduction factor and failure mode of precast shear wall.These parameters include axial compression ratio,height of section of limb,wall thickness,strength of grouting material and reinforcement ratio of inserted reinforcement.Based on parametric analysis,a simplified design formula for the reduction factor of the lateral force resistant capacity of precast reinforced concrete shear walls with reinforcement grouting connections was proposed.The simplified design formula fits well with the numerical results for a wide variety of common engineer-ing parameters.The simplified design formula can provide reference for the seismic design of precast concrete shear wall with reinforcement grouting connection.
