Simulation of the Capcitor Starting System of Squirrel Motors

Hu Qiansheng Liu Hui(Southeast University)  
This paper establishes a mathematical model for simulating the starting performances of the capacitor starting system of squirrel motors. The simulation results explain that the capacitor starting of large and medium squirrel motors can reduce the voltage dip, cut down starting current, and increase the starting torque. The mathematical model and the simulation method proposed in this paper have practical value in the design of the capacitor starting system.

5 The power supply continuity is one of the basic demands for warship's power systems. However, the reclosing of switch equipment may do great effect on the continuity of the power supply. In this paper, research carries out on that question. Power supply is synchronous generators and loads are mainly inductive machines in power systems of warship. The mathematical model of synchronous generator-inductive machine systems' running-fault-reclosing has been found according to operational condition of a typical spur track of the systems. Then both computer simulation and experiment have been done. The influence of reclosure time and phase of inductive machine to percussive current have been discussed.
