Simulation of an Improved Indirect Current Control Scheme of PWM Rectifier

Analysis of the mathematical model of PWM rectifier shows that the conventional indirect current control(or phase amplitude control)is steady decoupling in essence.Significant transitional current overshoot,current dc offset and slow response are its inherent drawbacks.A new cascade dynamic decoupling compensator is presented to overcome the defects mentioned above.Expected current respone speed is obtained and current overshoot is eliminated by assigning proper poles of the compensator.Simulation shows that the new scheme neednt measure the input AC current and its dynamic characteristics are comparable with the direct current control scheme.
