Application of Magnetically Controlled Reactor in 750kV Power System

Tian Cuihua Chen Baichao (Wuhan University Wuhan 430072 China)  
The principle and characteristics of controlled reactor are presented in this paper. UHV magnetically controlled reactor unit structure is proposed. The proposed UHV magnetically controlled reactor is applied to the voltage regulation and overvoltage suppression in Northwest 750kV power system. Numerical simulation is performed.
