Comparative Analysis of Trigger Circuit of High Voltage Control Boards for Thyristor Valve

In this paper,the principle of the trigger circuits of the two kinds of widely used high voltage control boards,namely the thyristor control unit(TCU)and the thyristor triggering and monitoring unit(TFM),were introduced.By using the numerical simulation and experiment,the output characteristics of the two trigger circuits were also compared and analyzed.The results showed that the TFM had better load adaptive capacity,and the front edge for its trigger pulse was steeper,in comparison with the TCU.
