Research on Design and Practice of Blended Learning for SPOC

Johnson, the founder of Horizon Report, predicts that blended learning, which has the advantages of both online learning and traditional classroom learning, will be the mainstream of future learning. However, some problems still exist during the implementation of blended learning: the goals of blended learning are not easy to grasp; the connection between online and offline is difficult; the quality of blended learning is hard to guarantee. SPOC(Small Private Online Course), as a new type of small-scale online courses, can effectively improve the quality of learning. In this paper, based on the comprehensive analysis of domestic and foreign research experiences on SPOC, a blended learning strategy for SPOC is designed, and then it is revised and perfected through action research, finally a six-dimensional blended learning strategy is formed, which includes question-guided learning, designed worksheets-based learning,group cooperative learning, BYOD auxiliary learning, evaluation promoting learning and micro-lecture self-study. Meanwhile, the good application result is examined in teaching practice.
