A Study of Online Education Development Strategy in Yale University:Based on Analysis of Series Annual Reports of Online Education Committee in Yale University

Online education has become a new trend of the development of international higher education, and all countries take it as an important measure to deepen the reform, improve quality and improve international competitiveness of higher education. How to design, plan and implement online education development strategy in universities and colleges to ensure the sustainable development of online education has become a major problem. This paper adopts policy analysis to systematically analyze the background, main contents, implementation and effectiveness of series online education development strategy reports issued by Yale University in recent years. The results indicate that in Yale University, the development of online education is guided by progressive policy; the high quality of online education is treated as an important driving force for the overall development of the university; to promote the deep integration of online education and traditional education is a main concern; teachers are regarded as the core resource for the sustainable development of online education and a cooperative mechanism of multiple departments is built up to support online education.
