A Study of the Relationship between Tutor's Support and Depth of Online Discussion in Teachers' Workshop:A Case Analysis of Teachers' Workshop of ICT Competency Enhancement Project

This study adopts the method of questionnaire survey to investigate the depth of online discussion of teachers' workshop and support from tutors. And then SPSS is used to analyze the relationship between academic support and the depth of online discussion. The results show that the degree of influence of tutor's support on the depth of online discussion in teachers' workshop is different at different stages, and Different stages of online discussion require different support. In the whole process of online discussion, the guidance of the master of the workshop is the most important. Finally, some suggestions for tutors' support are proposed for each stage of online discussion:(1) to guide the learners to explore and think about the discussion topics, and to discover new problems actively;(2) to stimulate the debate among peers in order to promote the development of critical thinking and the collaborative construction of knowledge;(3)to help learners to integrate ideas and construct meaning so as to work out solutions to problems;(4)to promote the deep discussion of learners and realize the transfer of knowledge.
