The word "Hu" and some compound-words which conclude the morpheme "Hu" sometimes were used as hypothetical conjunctions in Dunhuang public lecture writings. The usage of hypothetical conjunction of"Hu"has popular in Chinese Medieval period. The grammaticalization of the usage of adverb "Hu" is not a homophonic borrowed character of the hypothetical conjunction "Huo"."Huruo,Huru,Huqi" are compound-words.Their usages of hypothetical conjunction were compounded by synonyms. The phrases of "Huran,Hu'er,Hu'er,"are also compound-words and are constructed by adding a suffix on the stem morpheme "Hu".Their usages of hypothetical conjunction practiced in Modern Chinese were results of the analogy role of the hypothetical conjunctions of "Hu,Huruo,Huru,Huqi".
