Having been buried in a place of high humidity and soluble salt for a long time, and owing to the preservation conditions after excavation, the pigment layer and plaster layer of the excavated wall paintings exhibit many kinds of deterioration. In order to preserve these precious heritage sites as long as possible, three relics with typical deterioration were selected for restoration experiments, and the light movable support was remade. These restoration experiments have provided guidance for later preservation and restoration. The restored wall paintings are safe and stable enough to be used for exhibition.
