In order to identify the soil type, composition elements, and clay mineral constitution, both SEMEDS and XRD analyzing methods are used.Four soil specimens with different water consumption ratios are tested to compare the variations of the specimen’s contraction ratio. The content of easily dissolute salts, organic stuff, and pH value of the soil is also measured. These research experiments will provide an example for later systematic analysis of the soil as well as a referential guideline for later restoration work.
