An Application of a Wireless Sensor Network in Dynamic Environment Monitoring Systems of Archaeological Excavation Sites

According to the requirement of environment monitoring for archaeological excavations,we propose a design of a dynamic monitoring system for archaeological excavation sites based on wireless sensor networks.The structure and functional characteristics of each module in the system are described.The collected data not only can help in studying the best preservation environment for cultural relics,but also can provide the basic data for the reinforcement of these sites and heritage sites.This system has been applied in the archaeological sites of Fengqiyuan and Hancheng and yielded good results.
