The Impact of Demographic Characteristics on Organizational Commitment

Based on a questionnaire survey of 1,346 staff in 13 rural fi- nancial institutions in Guangdong Province, this paper studies the compact of different demographic characteristics on the staff’s orga- nizational commitment. The empirical research shows that there is not significant correlation between sex and organizational commitment; the impact of age on organizational commitment has a positive correlation, the older, the higher organizational commitment; educational level does not significantly affect organizational commitment; management level and organizational commitment has a positive correlation, the higher the management level is, the higher the organizational commitment.
