Need for Steady-and-forward Strategies in M&A Oversea by Chinese Enterprises

Yin Zhifeng1,Ping Shitao 2,Geng Cong 3(1.Renmin University of China,Beijing 100872,China;2.Central University of Finance and Economiss,Beijing 100081,China;3.Ecully Business College,Ecully 69134,France)
Under the financial crisis, global capital markets and merger and acquisition(MA) activities have fallen into the low point. However, recently a number of Chinese large enterprises have taken over foreign shares or companies overseas, which attracts the global attention. These enterprises, having adequate cash-flow and enjoying lower cost of capital in Chinese market, suffer less from the crisis, which gives them advantages and passion to invest overseas and also an impetus to combine capital and industries. On the other hand, these enterprises are faced with challenges and uncertainties in their MA overseas, considering their lack of experience in international MA. It is advisable for them to choose right strategies, constantly learn lessons from others and try to explore the right path for the return from resources and investment.
