Research on Multi-cutting Processing of HS-WEDM based on Orthogonal Experiment

Based on a number of factors influencing on the multicutting of HS-WEDM,an orthogonal experiment was performed to study the influence of pulse width,pulse interval,current peak,wire speed,the working fluid and the offset of the electrode wire on the processing efficiency and surface roughness for three-time cutting of HS-WEDM.This method can not only confirm the level of remarkable effecting factors of the processing efficiency and the surface roughness,but also optimize the parameters.Furthermore,combining with practical situation,the surface roughness Ra can reach to 0.69 μm after five-time HS-WEDM experiment.Thus,those reproducible parameters during the process will be better.
