Monitoring Landslide Applied with Three Dimensional GIS

The three dimensional spatial analysis and the deformation process simulation of monitoring landslide applied with three dimensional GIS are discussed in this paper. Triangle Prism Network (TPN), a kind of spatial data model, is selected based on geological characteristic of layer shape. This model has its spatial advantages in geology GIS, and it can be carried out easily by extending current 2D-GIS software such as Arcview. The data structure and spatial data operation of TPN spatial data model are analyzed in the paper. It suggests that TPN spatial data model is suitable to landslide deformation analysis applied with Finite Element and prism analysis way.
