Two Methods to Realize Serial Communication between Total Station and Computer Using Visual C~(++) 6.0

This paper mainly discussed two methods to realize serial communication between a Total Station and a computer, which are MSComm Control and Windows API function, the steps and applications with some examples are given to introduce how to carry out their points. At last, the paper summarized and compared these methods characteristic.
