Research on Measure of the Area of Reservoir Inundated Based on GIS

In this paper,firstly aimed at the disadvantages of measure method of area of graph patch of reservoir inundated,researches on a kind of new measuring method,i.e.based on GIS is presented: the area of the patch of figures are measured automatically by means of the data transform function of FME,the spatial data processing function,properties joined function and topology repair function of ArcGIS.Finally,the area of the patch of graphs of Weng'an Duzhong River reservoir is taken as example,the measure of area of the patches of graph is made by existing method and new method respectively.According to the result,the proposed methods have been proven to be rational.
