Research on Efficient Data Compression Mechanism Based on Wireless Sensor Networks

In order to prolong the life cycle of wireless sensor networks and ensure the safe operation of networks, an efficient compression mechanism based on clustering-double data compression is proposed.By clustering, the abnormal data and nodes can be filtered,and the double data compression is carried out on this basis.A simple Differential Compression Encoding is used to reduce the amount of data,and perform the Run Length Coding to further compressed.Compared with the traditional Huffman algorithm and Differential Compression Encoding,the simulation results show that clustering-double data compression mechanism can ensure high compression ratio,reduce the compression and decompression time, reduce the energy consumption.
