PRELIMINARY RESEARCH ON PRESENT BLOCK DEMARCATION,MOVEMENT AND DEFORMATION IN NORTHEAST MARGIN OF QINGHAI-TIBET

On the basis of the discontinuous deformation analysis and using displacement as boundary constraint,the block demarcation,movement and deformation in northeast margin of Qinghai Tibet are studied.According to geological tectonic and seismic activity the reasonable block demarcation model is set up and its strain distribution varying with time is obtained by using GPS observation data. By comparing the high strain zones with the regions where \%M\%s≥5.0 earthquake occurred in late years the high seismic risk zone is located.Additionally,the left lateral movement of boundary fault between Qinghai Tibet block and Alashan block is calculated sketchily.
