INFLUENCE OF OCEAN LOAD TIDES ON GRAVITY, DISPLACEMENT, TILT AND STRAIN IN TAIWAN

On the basis of latest Csr4.0 global ocean tidal model and the data of China seas and loading Green's functions of standard earth model, the effect of ocean load tides on body tides at 10 stations in Taiwan is studied by using the method of integral Green's function developed by Goad, and the loading for 4 main waves(O1, K1, M2, S2) is calculated. The spatial character of the load strain flower and the temporal variation at Taibei station of the loading are obtained. The numerical results show that the loading influence at the stations is so great that the ocean corrections to the body tides must be taken into account.
