A Dual-Redundant Control of Drivers for Electro-Hydrostatic Actuator

Electro Hydrostatic Actuator(EHA) is driven by electric power instead of hydraulic pressure. The hydraulic pumb is drived by electric pump directly. It has the advantages of simple structure, high efficiency and high fault-tolerance. It is an important issue of More Electric Aircraft. The drivers of EHA that is researched in the paper adopts the brushless DC motor with dual windings. The dual control channel is driven by two independent circuits. In this paper, the control method of "fault-work" on the dual redundance is advanced--fault-tolerance control. The reliability is improved greatly. At last the results of experiment is given and proves the advantages of dual-redundant control.
