Research on Universal Hybrid Inverter Topology and Modulation Methods

This paper introduces a universal hybrid inverter topology based on existed multi-level inverter topology,and enlarges modulation methods.The simulation of carrier-shifted and space vector shifted PWM modulation have been carried out in two kinds of equivalent voltage hybrid topology.The experiment about the application of space vector shifted PWM modulation methods in multi-level cascaded H bridge inverter is also carried out.The fact that the output voltages of hybrid inverter using phase shifting have the advantages of good wave quality and low ripple aberration proved by math formulas,simulative and experimental results.All of the merits has the directive meaning to the multi-level inverter in practical application.
