A Novel Electronic Ballast with High Input Power Factor

In view of existing problems of electronic ballast,the paper presents an idea of using common switches both in converter and inverter to simplify circuit.Based on the idea,a simple and practical electronic ballast circuit with high power factor is provided.For verification,an experiment on a model circuit is finished.The result shows good performance of the circuit.
