Microstructure Effect on the Collapsibility of Unsaturated Loess

The paper analyes the physical compositions and microstructure of loess.Based on the suction theory of unsaturated soil and microstructure of loess,the mechanical and influence factors are analyzed.The results indicate that the collapsibility of unsaturated loess is controlled by its microstructure and intergranular suction.
